HELOC Calculator
Estimate your home equity line of credit borrowing power from your home value, max LTV, and current mortgage.
Your home value and loan numbers stay on this page — nothing is uploadedTry: Home value=400000, Max LTV=80, Mortgage balance=250000 → $70,000.00, $400,000.00, 80%, $250,000.00
How to use
Enter your home value, the lender maximum LTV (typically 80%), and your mortgage balance. The calculator shows how much equity credit you could open. When I checked mine, the draw period payments were far lower than I expected — until I saw the repayment jump.
FAQ
What does LTV mean?
Loan-to-value: the percent of your home value a lender will lend against. 80% is common for a HELOC.
Why subtract the mortgage?
A HELOC sits behind your first mortgage, so your usable equity is the home value times LTV minus what you still owe.
